Where to begin?
It's been two whole years since I've contributed to this site, and a lot has happened.
The last two years has been full of humps and bumps and unexpected surprises, but I won't bore you with all the details. Instead, I will provide the highlights.

Two Years in Retrospect
September 2013 has long come and gone, but the memories of BCT in Missouri will be forever ingrained in my mind. It was a tough experience, especially since I got sick week 3 and remained so for the seven remaining weeks until graduating in December.
January saw a move to a much warmer climate, the lovely central coast of California for additional training, where I have be spoiled rotten for the last year and a half (despite health issues). I have almost forgotten what mosquitoes are.
During my time in California, I found the love of my life, discovered I had a mass in my ear (gross - more on that later) and subsequently underwent a total of 3 surgeries to date to remove said mass.
Now that my training is completed here, I just have one more phase until I am job certified (Yippee!!!). The only thing in my way now is an APFT.
That is one of the drawbacks of having head surgery 3 times within a year. All of the recovery time to heal made it impossible for me to exercise for almost the whole year. All of the progress I made was quickly washed away by the imposed stationary lifestyle has left me weak and quickly tired. However, now that I can exercise, my level of fitness has been improving, albeit slowly.
But! I am hopeful I will be able to conquer my upcoming APFT and continue on this seemingly never ending road of training.
'til next time!
