Today is Mother's Day and I want to take a moment to show my appreciation to the lady that gave me one of the greatest gifts ever.
Being a big sister has been one of the best gifts my mom has ever given me. I know it sounds kind of corny but all the memories I made with my younger siblings has filled my childhood with lots of happiness. Erin and Paul are my best friends and I would do anything for them. Being the eldest child has taught me about responsibility, patience, and being a compassionate gentle person.
I am very fortunate that my mom (and dad) instilled in me how important family is and that you should always be there for each other, no matter what. Also, that even when you are upset with each other that it is better to let go of that anger and forgive each other then to keep it locked up inside and let it fester into bitterness and resentment towards each other.
After all, I only have one brother and one sister, and I should never take them for granted because life is too short to be angry about something that in the grand scheme of life doesn't matter.
So, thank you Mom for giving me the two bestest friends I could ever ask for, and a home full of love and adventure. Also, for teaching me the little things about what being a mom really means. I love you!
