Yesterday was rough. I walked into a room full of army recruits that looked like they had been training for the last six months. Take into account there was not another female recruit and this was my first time at a Future Soldier (FS) 'event', you can bet I was a little intimidated. Ok, A LOT intimidated. I had no idea what to expect.

Week one of Weight Watchers and I have lost 2.8lbs! Hubby lost 1.6, but he is super competitive and as bothered that I lost more than him. So, this week he says he is going to buckle down and watch what he eats. We shall see :) Marathon training has been going well. Slow and steady, I get there. My friend Michelle and I are going to run the Color Run (5k in Nov) together and Honolulu Marathon (Dec) together. still running! :) It is awesome to have a running partner to keep me accountable, have conversations with, and keep me motivated. This marathon with be the first one for the both of us and we are really excited about it. So, hopefully we can remember our goal of completing a marathon on our long runs. WE CAN DO IT! God Bless,
I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July yesterday. I didn't really leave the house or do anything super special. Steve had to work last night; so, Ben and I just hung around the house and watched Spongebob Squarepants and Ice Age 2 (a million times - its his favorite movie). Our family really doesn't go to fireworks anymore because of Benjamin sensory needs. He doesn't like fireworks because they are really loud and the fireworks startle him. Plus, I don't feel the need to have him stay up later and cause him to be off schedule. Rule #1 for Autistic kids (mine anyway) - Never never change the routine. :) Moving on.... As you can see by the title, I decided to give Weight Watchers a try (again). I just need to be careful not to get too compulsive about the points. Heck, if Jennifer Hudson can do it and look amazing, so can I! If anyone is doing Weight Watchers Online and wants to be my friend, my username is: kittykategirl Also, not much to say about the marathon training, except, 22.5 weeks till the marathon!
